When you stay in Wahgunyah you will not only be on the Murray
River but you will also be close to a range of wineries so you can
sample the iconic Rutherglen Reds and fortified such as Tokay and
Port without travelling more than 5km from your accommodation.
From the balcony of your accommodation you can sit back and
enjoy a local Rutherglen wine along with some regional produce
whilst enjoying the local wildlife such as kingfishers, parrots and
blue wrens that grace the shady surrounds. If you're lucky there
may also be a pelican on the billabong.
But with activities such as cycling on the Murray to Mountains
Rail Trail, golfing at picturesque Murray River golf clubs at
Corowa & Howlong, fishing for the prized Murray Cod, walking,
water skiing, swimming, sky diving and gliding... the rest is up to
you.
